Settle Sound is an audio app we built for ourselves first. After a day of devving, Steve's head kept running code, and after hours in front of screens, Emma's wasn't much better. Settle plays sound designed to get you off the day, or into it, in two modes with nothing to set up: Settle Down for the hour after work through to sleep, and Settle In for work you need to stay inside. It's been helping us in the agency, and it's out now on Google Play for Android, with iOS coming soon.
There's no account because we didn't want one, and there are no ads. It works offline because the phone service out here is patchy to none. The sound is made on the phone as it plays, so it keeps going on a plane or on a property with no signal, and nothing about you leaves the phone unless you say yes to anonymous counts of what gets played.
It's free to start, and you pay once if you ever pay. Settle Unlimited is a single payment that never renews, for as many routines as you like and any sound playing as long as you like. Some of the sounds use binaural beats, which need headphones on both ears. The research on them is mixed, so settlesound.com lists the studies with their sources. Settle is an audio app, not a medical device.
